System Administrator (Web3 Fintech)

Role Overview

We are looking for a System Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our IT infrastructure and systems. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability while supporting day-to-day operations and ongoing improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with servers, operating systems, networks, and basic security practices. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to keep systems running smoothly and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

● Install, configure, and maintain servers (Linux and/or Windows).

● Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource usage.

● Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.

● Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening.

● Managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP)

● Maintain and document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

● Troubleshoot system, network, and application-level issues.

● Managing containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (if applicable)

● Monitoring system performance, availability, and security, and responding to incidents or outages

● Collaborating with developers to improve application performance, reliability, and deployment workflows

● Maintaining system documentation, runbooks, and deployment procedures

● Enforcing security best practices, including access control, secrets management, and vulnerability mitigation

● Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.

 

Requirements

● Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic system administration

● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

● Experience with virtualization and/or containers (VMware, Docker, etc.).

● Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

● Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, firewalls)

● Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools 

● Knowledge of backup strategies and disaster recovery concepts.

● Experience with Kubernetes is a plus

● Exposure to high-availability or distributed systems is a plus

● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and proactive mindset
