Seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to support a critical enterprise-level
application migration initiative. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Java development using Eclipse IDE and have hands-on experience in large-scale system migrations, particularly from IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) to JBoss Application Server.

You are required to support the team in the facilitating, coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling, and completing assigned projects in line with business needs. Your role involves ensuring all solutions provided meet the highest standards of reliability, security and compliance with industry regulations, while aligning with the
organization’s overall strategy, commitments, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications using Eclipse IDE.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration from WebSphere to JBoss.
• Contribute to system architecture and code review during the migration process.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues throughout development and deployment cycles.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability meet project standards.
• Participate in documentation and knowledge transfer sessions to support the new environment.

Qualification:

• Candidate must posses at least a bachelor’s degree/postgraduate/ diploma/professional degree in
  Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Eclipse IDE for Java EE development.
• Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere and JBoss environments.
• Proven track record working on enterprise-level and/or migration projects.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools (e.g., Maven), and deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• Prior experience in decommissioning IBM Rational tools and transitioning to Eclipse IDE.
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
